Anvil Books: Finally, Some Good Reads

Blog EntryDec 7, '08 9:28 PM
for everyone

Eraserheads fans are in for another treat after the band's recent reunion concert! Ten years after its first printing, the Eheads bestselling storybook FRUITCAKE has been re-issued with a new cover.  Released by Anvil Publishing, this funny and fantasy tale is a spin-off of the popular band's Christmas album. The book is edited by Jessica Zafra and illustrated by Cynthia Bauzon.

Fruitcake is a wonderful tale about little Frannie Wei, her friend, Shadow, and their adventures in Fruitcake Heights. Here they meet the Carol Kings, Bobo the Wiseman, the Fruitcake Fairy, and the rest of the Fruitcakeans. Taking inspiration from various writers such as JRR Tolkien, Agatha Christie, Dr. Seuss, Edgar Allan Poe and many others, the Eraserheads are guaranteed to entertain the readers with their easy-to-read chapters filled with songs, light banter and hints of mystery.

Fruitcake is now available in all National Bookstores and Powerbooks branches. For inquiries, contact Anvil's Sales Department at 6373621.
